Melissa Conn is the Director of the Kentucky Highlands Innovation Center (KHIC Center), which is also the London office of the Kentucky Innovation Network. She has been with Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation, a CDFI, since 2001, and has been an Associate with Meritus Ventures, LP, a Rural Business Investment Company (RBIC) since 2006. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky, an MBA from Morehead State University, and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Science from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Kentucky Paralegal. Melissa is also a graduate of the National Association of Small Business Investment Corporations (NASBIC) Venture Capital Institute and holds the Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council. She is also certified in Business Incubator Management by the International Business Incubators Association. In addition, she is a GrowthWheel Certified Business Advisor, a Certified Facilitator of the Entrepreneurial Learning Institute’s Ice House Entrepreneurship training program and is a Gallup Business Builders (BP 10) coach.
