Terri Terri Whitson joined Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation in April 1979. Her responsibilities as Accountant include cash management and preparation of monthly financial statements for Kentucky Highlands and its five subsidiaries or related companies. Terri's cash management responsibilities include daily monitoring and monthly reconciliation of numerous cash and investment accounts. She is responsible for accounts payable, notes payable, and fixed assets activity. Terri is responsible for payroll reports as well as several of Kentucky Highlands reports to funding agencies. Due to requirements of Kentucky Highlands funding sources, Terri maintains multiple bank accounts and monitors them through online banking software, which she also uses for wire/account transfers and ACH transfers. Terri is also responsible for daily wire transfers for working capital lines of credit, one of Kentucky Highlands major investment instruments.

Terri negotiates with investment firms and makes recommendations to the Chief Financial Officer for possible investments of idle funds and deals directly with the bank officers on cash management issues. Terri's financial statement responsibilities include general ledger accounting functions for multiple funds and all intercompany transactions for the six Kentucky Highlands companies. She is also responsible for the preparation of annual audit schedules.
Terri has completed various accounting college courses and work related training for accounting and computer software applications and is a graduate of Leadership Tri-County.
