Middlesboro councilman named to Kentucky Highlands’ board

LONDON, Ky. - - Clarence “Bo” Green has been named to the
board of Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation. Green is a Middlesboro
city council member. In addition, he is president of Green Construction, which
employs 30
people.
“The success that Kentucky Highlands has achieved is due to the strength of our board members,” said Jerry Rickett, president and CEO of KHIC. “With his business and civic experience, Bo will be a strong addition to helping set the course for our economic development efforts.”
Green’s extensive community and economic development experience include serving on the boards of the Bell County Chamber of Commerce, where he is past president; Bell County Industrial Foundation; and Association of General Contractors of Kentucky.
“It is quite an honor for me to serve on the board of Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation,” Green said. “As a lifelong resident of our region, I share the vision of Kentucky Highlands. I firmly believe that economic growth in our area is vital for the long-term health of our region. Creating job opportunities and economic growth is the optimal way of improving the quality of life for all people in our region and thus ensuring future opportunities and growth.

Green also serves in various leadership positions at Covenant United Methodist Church and coaches a youth basketball team. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Kentucky.
