Edgar Davis is Business Development Specialist for Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation. Edgar came to Kentucky Highlands to expand the use of its loan programs including the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Business and Industry Loan Guaranty Program and Intermediary Loan Program and the Small Business Administration Microloan Program, as well as the agriculture and business development programs of the Kentucky Highlands Empowerment Zone. Prior to coming to Kentucky Highlands, Edgar was Vice President Commercial Lending at Monticello Banking Company, Monticello, Kentucky. He also served as Assistant Vice President and Lending Officer, Loan Officer, as well as Bank Operations Specialist during his tenure at Monticello Bank.
Edgar has a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics from the University of Kentucky. He has attended various seminars in bank operations and lending as well as lending seminars conducted by the United States Department of Agriculture and the United States Small Business Administration for their programs. Mr. Davis has held positions and is involved in various business and community activities including President and Vice President of the Monticello Kiwanis Club, Treasurer of theWayne County Agricultural Development Council, President of the Monticello-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, General Advisor, Treasurer, and Board of Directors of the Wayne County Fair and Horse Show, Scoutmaster for a Boy Scout Troop and a Lifetime member of the University of Kentucky Agricultural Alumni Association.
